With no motor or moving parts, the side hill screen relies on gravity to work as the influent flows over the screening media.
The screening elements consist of fixed, curved, slotted, wedgewire screens placed horizontally across the flow direction.
Positioned at a steep angle, the screening surface effectively drains liquid, allowing solids to slide off the bottom of the screen.
